We offer a 90-day warranty on our devices providing assurance that defects arising during this period will be rectified at no additional cost to you, with the exception of self-enacted user damages, such as liquid or impact based damages.
Our comprehensive warranty encompasses various aspects of the device, including its hardware component(s) performance, serial number’s legal status, and compatibility with the cellular network provider it was originally advertised with on the date of sale.
Issues we do not currently warranty include the following:
(1) Face ID functionality, (2) cellular issues not pertaining to the phones cellular network carrier compatibility, (3) Wifi/Bluetooth issues, (4) “Camera spots” in the rear or front camera photos, and (5) liquid damage, (6) Important Battery Message (7) Important Display Message (8) Important Camera Message (9) physical damages enacted by the user and other issues that are caused through liquid or impact damages.
An explanation of why we do not cover the criteria above can be found below.
Explanations for the lack of coverage for these issues can be navigated referencing the numbers in the statement above.
(1) Face ID
Please be aware that we do not provide warranty coverage for Face ID functionality past the date of sale. If Face ID becomes disabled, it indicates that the phone has experienced a drop, impact based internal movement, or liquid damage, which is not covered under our warranty terms.
(2) Cellular Issues not pertaining to the phone’s cellular network carrier compatibility
Please be aware that we do not provide warranty coverage for cellular issues not pertaining to the phone’s cellular network carrier compatibility past the date of sale.
These issues can be identified as the following:
We do not provide coverage for these issues with consideration that motherboards in phones are modernly built in multi layer constructs. These issues occur when the layers of the board separate due to impact damages.
(3) Wifi/Bluetooth Issues
Please be aware that we do not provide warranty coverage for Wifi/Bluetooth not pertaining to the phone’s cellular network carrier compatibility past the date of sale.
These issues would be defined as follows:
We do not provide coverage for these issues with consideration that motherboards in phones are modernly built in multi layer constructs. These issues occur when the layers of the board separate due to impact damages.
(4) “Camera spots” present in rear or front camera photos
We do not provide coverage for these issues with consideration that these spots occur through impact damages.
(5) Liquid Damages
We do not provide coverage for any issues that may arise relating to liquid damages. Liquid damages can cause circuitry issues within motherboards through oxidation and electrical shortage.
(6) Important Battery Message
We do not provide coverage for iPhones containing an “Important Battery Message” if the message originates from the replacement of the battery component and is otherwise functional. However if the battery in the device is not performing as it should which shall be subject to discretion, Farragut FixIT will rectify the situation without cost to the customer.
(7) Important Display Message
We do not provide coverage for iPhones containing an “Important Display Message” if the message originates from the replacement of the display assembly component and is otherwise functional.
(8) Important Camera Message
We do not provide coverage for iPhones containing an “Important Camera Message” if the message originates from the replacement of the rear camera component and is otherwise functional.
(9) “Other Physical Damages Enacted by the User”
We do not provide coverage for physical damages on devices that have been damaged through liquid compromise or impact damages.
“Amendments to Refurbished Device Warranties”
Replacement Displays:
For instances where we have replaced the display on a device for sale, we extend a specialized lifetime warranty on the display itself, safeguarding the consumer against defects such as unresponsive touch functionality or visual imperfections.
However, it is important to note that our warranty does not cover issues resulting from user damage, such as a non-responsive screen due to a crack externally or internally.
Replacement Batteries:
For instances where we have replaced the battery on a device for sale, we extend a specialized one year warranty on the battery itself, safeguarding the consumer against defects such as extreme or rapid battery discharge in addition to boot-looping issues caused by a defective battery.
It’s important to note that our metrics for warranting replacement battery conditions is based off of diagnostics - using machinery, crash log reports and software. Batteries naturally degrade over time so they will not perform optimally forever. However, Farragut FixIt does guarantee that the batteries we utilize in our refurbished devices will retain greater than 80% “Battery Health” in our iPhones as depicted through the diagnostics software “3UTOOLS.”
“Exceptions and specialized discretion”
Farragut FixIT reserves the right to provide specialized discretion to warranties when the company believes the customer is in fair use of a warranty claim despite if it challenges our warranty exception policies. It is our mission to use our warranty terms as a guideline and general measure; however if our terms do not represent fairness to our users in a particular claim, we will consider indemnification within our discretion.
